the entry going goo goo gaa gaa part deux

more little talk!

partisan in baby-fest leads to prattling in puerile baby language and perpetual camera clicks. in a single day, i was invited to two baby showings, if that's what i think you'd call it. my cousin's newborn, shanel (pronounced as bag mogul chanel), has just turned a month old. hopelessly bored stiff with her confinement in situ, she decided to throw a small gathering in honor of that and gave us first dibs on how shanel's blossoming already into a damsel at thirty days old.

utter revulsion after finding out mitts aren't 300 thread count egyptian cotton.

i couldn't help giving it a shot but i am pretty sure i totally rocked the father role, as evidenced by my adeptness at baby-carry. note the nurturing stance.

rigor mortis beckons with valiant attempts at baby-lugging

silence .... finally sound asleep

in the afternoon, it was a stopover at the local kandang kerbau hospital where my other cousin lays exhausted at one of the many wards. having endured five hours of intense, breath-stopping labour, her newborn arrives, enveloped in a snug, blue blanket. by default of gender-defining color, i deduced newborn to be male. name of little one could not be procured as of blog time however.

i just can't wait for my sister-in-law to join the bandwagon and pop baby d out. oh well, one more month, and counting...

Wow! Babies galore!

What a cute bundle of joy! Baby 1 must be the reigning princess of the family at the moment. :)

Love the way babies sleep (just like ur cousin’s baby boi). So serenely secure in their warm blankies, without a care... except when they are hungry or when they relieve themselves.

Can see the uncle-in-making becoming adept in the skill of baby carrying/cuddling. :)

Hmmm, is Uncle Des wearing the same shirt? Hahaha

Looking forward to your nephew.
Cheers man.

It's quite scary to see you carry the baby though I think you tried to be very careful when handling her.

And the baby looks like you! [HUH! SHOCKING!!] =0

No lah, 'cos her eyes are quite 'mong' like yours. LOL! =p

yo D, I think you need more baby carrying practice. LOL

Maybe I should use the vouchers, masking tape two pints of Chunky Monkey, wrap in a blankie and have u hold that. *grin*

and u're really speedy gonzalez man. 30 mins and u're home and ON the comp. one of these days I really need to come by and swap laksa tips with your mom.

kev out!

(rex) so now do you have to fork out twice the amount of "nephew/niece allowance?

(kevin) i guess i do need some training on baby-sitting, but when it comes to driving, i guess i'm pretty the road racer when it allows. =] enjoy your BKK!

haven't had babies in my family for sometime le... I always wanted to carry babies however, am afraid to carry them wrongly... :P babies' bones are fragile and their muscles are not developed yet. they can't really carry their head, so we have to be especially careful with their heads...

Congrats that you did successfully carry up the baby... however, still lack in the correct skills i guess... practice hard and be careful... once u can let it sleep in your arms, you should develop a special bond with that child =)

(junyu) i am disappointed, considering what you can write, all you can say is cute? come on, you've gotta have more than just that?

(anony) *bows in accordance to agreement*

(palemoon) i know i look like i am suffering from a stroke when i was carrying the baby, only because the angle wasn't taken properly. i will improve as time goes by. hopefully.. =]
