have you ever heard of the saying that goes, "
to travel around the world is a life once lived"? no, you haven't, because i made that up. just a case in point. that aside, this is a culmination of the pictures i've taken over the past
two weeks of quasi-globetrotting. here's the lowdown:
singapore
our founding father, sir stamford raffles
our national "mascot", the merlion
preserved work in the asian civilizations museum
i like this shot because of the haunting serenity
of the woman standing in the doorway.
raffles place by day ...
... and by night.
rome
a part of the famed colosseum
a residence in tuscany, italy
spanish steps, anyone?
new york
signs and more signs, everywhere you turn.
a typical residence in downtown manhattan.
tiles to remember those lost in 9/11.
the manhattan bridge.

hahahhaa, i know the saying now =) and totally agree with you, you have your own style in photography which is good... and i like your style man! keep it up... sad we still cant do photoshooting together >.< anyway i will share mine here on blogspot
realised you like taking pictures from angles, quite nice lei.
some are quite normal, but there's one i like a lot: the one of rome and a traffic light
it's me again~haha~ I like that pic which is one lady standing alone. =)
ahhh! you make me wanna buy a camera and go shooting things!lol
i LOVE the shot with the lady alone, best shot of all imo! =X
(fufu) i think i might make a trip down to malacca end of the month perhaps, and we can go on a photo spree!
(anon) i havne't exactly found my niche yet, but still experimenting with it.
(abc) not my particularly favourite shot, but it's kinda chic much? hehe.

(rex) where have you been??? haha. i like that pic too, it's a little haunting, isn't it?
(nic) go get one already! but get a better one, the nikon 300. that will surely get you better shots!
i like the last pic...the shadows..how do i say it...a deviation in the lots of uniformity :)
overall quite a good effort, but i don't like the picture of the backview of the merlion spewing water though.
Very nice pictures... But I've always learnt in History class that William Farquhar is our real founder, Raffles is just to claim glory.
Anyway, do you mean "residence" in manhattan? I don't see anyone in the picture to imply resident.
yea... nice shot~! haha bravo!
started work, laptop gave to my sister so seldom online recently. =) hope you are fine man, get yourself a new phone already?
I like the photos of the Manhattan streets. I find it very abstract and intriguing. nice photos taken by you as always. =)
(chaos) yeah, i like a little mis-uniformity in my pics, shows that not all things are perfect or in symmetry.
(anon) i was just trying to capture it from a different angle, but oh well, at least the other pics you liked it.
(anon2) it really is a residence in italy, but the queer thing about it is that it has a us mailbox. interesting much?
(rex) yup, i did. it's a lg prada ii. looks good, but it's a sucky phone with laggy features.
(jnkl) thanks for the compliments, i will strive harder to take nicer abstract shots!
the haunting lady shot can be a ad campaign,"what's stopping u?"
(cedric) the lack of confidence, and the lack of amount in terms of portfolio, i guess. but thanks for giving me a boost in my credence.
haha, u mistook my point, i mean the ad campaign's theme could be "what's stopping u"
btw, u dun sleep at night meh?...4am...
(cedric) oops, now i geddit. i was one step ahead of myself too fast. haha.
about the sleep, well, i had a nightmare and woke up and happened to see your comment on my board, so i replied. i have very good sleeping habits now. =]
haha, thanks for stopping by my blog, ya, i took the photo with my little consumer DC, and photoshoped a little bit.
just curious...saw your wish list the other day? but it's gone now? or i'm dreaming? haha
gah, i need to find $$ then b4 i can buy one
actually i like the street signs one too, maybe it's the colours and the shapes and all
a picture can tell a thousand words. some photos you have do give ppl sense of feeling. nice work. ^o^
btw, malacca is a nice place for taking photos. i went there twice last year.
~no name~
(cedric) don't mention, but i really thought that picture was worth more than a million words. kudos for a job well done!
(chaos) oh yeah, that wish list was gonna be the next entry, but i'm still working on it, that's why.
(nic) work on it. hehe. draw a nice one for me to see?
(no name) i am hoping to leave the leagues of amateurs and jump onto the bandwagon of pros when it comes to photography, but i guess i still need some time and lotsa improvements. but thanks for keeping my spirits up, as always! hugs!
draw what? haha
maybe it can be your present then! lol, if it's not too difficult to paint :P
hey, ruff, nice shuttle!!! Do you use a tripod for all the night shots? What aperture & timing did you use for the last singapore shoot on trail of lights??
(nic) you're an artiste, right? so, i can be your muse, hehe.
(noise) i simply worked on it with my steady hands, the timing was 1.5 sec - 2 sec, but the aperture size, i forgot, sorry.
ahahahaha, i still have some time to think about it *brainstorms*
(nic) better be quick!!!! time is running out!
