the entry that bids adieu ... or at least for the time being

what a downer, my computer broke down, and i'm ridiculously jamming the keys on the keyboard at the local gym i patronize just to blog. i didn't know going cold turkey off blogging could have such adverse effects.

moving along, because of the dearth of workable gadgetry in my hovel, i have resorted to skulking longer in the gymnasium when working out. during these times in the gym when i could ruminate in between sets, which equates to a fairly large amount of time, i have made two reasonable yet remarkable examinations: 1. some of the fitness instructors are in a serious need for fitness advice themselves, 2. the patrons who pay these fitness instructors still look the same the first day they joined.

concur much, anyone?

Well, Sitex is just round the corner (27-30 Nov). Hope you find good offers.

(rex) is it COMEX or SIMEX now? i am confused.

(anonymous) the cheapest commercialised gym ever, make a guess?

(kp) like me? to make use of the internet facilities when their own comps are down? hehe

(ck) so many computer fairs, i am really confused. now which one was this again?

simex is the one in singapore expo if am not mistaken that will be held around late this month.

computer breakdown is ok
my cellphone suddenly died on me
and what's worse: on a very ungodly hours when no shop opens and when I needed it the most.

it shows how dependable we're on techies-stuffs

I think we just use "PC Fair" will do. haha~ Ignore the Mex mEx meX...

Sorry about the Mac dude. Maybe you can get an early Xmas pressie from someone ? LOL

And as for the fitness instructors... haiz. I am glad I didn't re-engage them since.

LOL... have a good one !

LOL. There is one every end-of-quarter in the following order: IT Show, PC Show, COMEX, SITEX.

Frankly I hate going to any of these. The traffic and parking is horrible and the crowd are crazy. But if you are going for a big purchase, it should be worth the trip. (Except if you are buying Dell which you should just order online).

(z) don't you have any backup phones like most ppl would have by now? or you traded in all your old models?

(rex) yeah, hehe, just to save all that trouble. thanks for the nando chix!!! they taste really, really good!!!!

(piggiewiggie) how was your experience training with them. honestly, was it any good?

(ck) i doubt i will be going to any of these fairs anytime soon. the crowd itself kills. besides, i am kinda an apple person now, so i will get mine from the stores, just because. =]

Computer breakdown... What a tragedy. I always keep my files in a portable drive, especially digicam photos.

It's shame when fitness instructors are the ones needing to be "instructed" on how to be a good example. But perhaps your observation is quite exceptional?

or perhaps we set too high standards for ourselves?

Good for you! I am thinking of converting to Mac too. So the one that broke down is a Mac? The new MacBook Pro looks too good to resist.

(rex) it's really good. owe you one biggie. =]

(leo) maybe it was exceptional only to me, in the sense that i would expect a lot, coming from them being professionals rather than just amateurs. yeah, tell me about my computer. technology and me just don't go hand in hand.

(mr. wildy) i am pretty sure you have pretty much the same ideals as i do, i guess.

iruffcookiedough said...

(ck) yup, the one that broke down is a mac too. but i am still having good faith with apple and their appliances.

(kp) well, it's on its way as we speak, just specifically when, that is the question. i know what kp stands for too now. hehe, venture a guess?

(anonymous) right on the dollar. smart guess or that you've seen me there before, henceforth.. =]

(minimach) the good ones, referring to, ahem, you right? hehe. yup guys, minimach is quite the professional when it comes to fitness education. if you guys want any help, he's the guy to look out for.

I used them after being cornered into a package of 10+1 sessions. Quite ok... but i realised that I learned what I could and the rest the way I manage to plan my workout on my own with some reading. Thanks to Fitness Rx. Ha.

I didn't even go for the last session cos I know the whole hard sell tactics will begin again.
