intently continuing in the fashion (no pun intended) of making all things non-chiaroscuro -- life is after all a gamut of colors -- i gamely upped the stakes and put shades of different colors to my room. i raked the originally glass-paneled walls with a lime green wallpaper one on side and another with the alphabet soup adjacent to it, schlepped a couple procurements from ikea and decked my room with spices of red and blue, and finally nailed on some tastefully bought paintings. the original room looked like this, but after a couple of touch-ups here and there, here's the outcome:
my advice to folks looking for a decadent change in their bedroom outlook with a moderate budget would be to go consult ikea. the shelf-life of their bits and pieces look decent yet affordable enough to last you till the next hovel makeover, which should be pretty soon all over again.

Where did you get the "clothes" for your macbook? how much is it?
its always nice to inject some colours into our lives eh!
Yo,
for yr mac, i like to blue body, but for the surface surround the keypads maybe it will better if it is yellow? cos i think orange is a bit not so eye sight friendly, haha and more ''sian'' and dull.. just my view.:)
btw yr room look good anyway be it old or new design. but i realise sth! that miss out from the normal room. I didnt see any cupboard or wardrobe in yr room! hahaha then where u keep yr iron ed clothes or tees? u cant b foldin them right.
wow! is your macbook air for some serious academic work or sth? the colour combination reminds me of campus - NUS! LOL!
anyway, i find the nice colour combi appear too hard on the thin laptop. it doesnt appear to be light-weight with the colours. just my view. =]
(marc) i always tot of red to be something really fiery and in-yer-face, but nuances of it seem to be fine, in my opinion..
(cubbawa) i don't wanna do up the place of someone who works in someplace so upper east side as SPACE, i'd be stressed out!!!
(stanley) yeah, i love all colors man!!!
(mr. f) thanks mr. f, show me yours next time. =)
(anon) i got it online from www.colorwarepc.com, where you can customise everything from your mobile to even your nintendo ds consoles!! it just takes a while to wait for the finished product that's all. =)
(russ) you you you are, you you you are, the most colorful!!!!
(anon2) actually i wanted to color-ize the keypad as well, but apparently they didn't do it for me, sigh, oh well, till the next customization then..... =)
(acee) i didn't take pictures of it that's all, it's still intact, all in one piece. ^^
(763092) eeks! oh well, i used to be from nus after all, so i guess this can be a tribute to my alma matar to a certain extent.
Huhhhhh!!!!! An Elephant behind ur chair.... any fengshui substance in it?
^_^
yes, it looks so NUS. looks like the welcome to nus big signage pillar near the turn into central lib. anyway des, which course were u in then?
Hey des! haha..I like the design of your room not to say the decor too! haha..Ikea is a great place to shop for room decor.Love the little boxes that you have!
(anon) it's an aimes elephant, something of an iconic design that was supposedly 2k plus in its original woody material, but the plastic ones come more affordable.
(acee) i was from computer engineering, which, i pretty much didn't pursue much after getting the degree. i am still pretty puzzled what led me on that course in the first place.
(jnkl) you can grab those little boxes from ikea too, alas they only come into red and blue though.
Nice bed... i want to lie in it with you.... =P *shy*

From the way ur place ur elephant, it does create some gd fengshui effect :)
无心插柳,柳成荫 :)
^_^

K.P.
yah, computer engineering. sound very maths, phy and a lot of programming work. anyway i suck at these 3 aspects. i thought u look like more Arts fac or Business sch type. anw im from SDE sch.
hey, www.colorwarepc.com is a US website right? you send you macbook over for them to wrap? or its a DIY thing? or they have an outlet in SG?
Hey..
Thanks for the colorware recommendation.
How much it set you back in total?
Do i have to send in the macbook from Singapore or its just a sticker casing?
Thanks
SICKO!!!!!!!!!!
haha..thanks..i grab a few of the red ones though..hahaha..
btw! i had a dream about you.
Nice blue...but I dun like the orange, too slapping on the face..I'm into UK colors!
Oh! i realised u have reoriented your bed which used to share the same wall with the washroom. Hope it does produce a better "qi" for u :)
^_^
(c.a.d) naughty c.a.d, oh behave, we're in a public forum. but thanks! i take it as a compliment.
(^_^) and the beginning of the prose should be “有心栽花花不開”,if my mandarin doesn't fail me.
(kp) but i nevertheless have the american dream brewing in me. =)
(acee) that's what most ppl would put me at, when they are deciphering which faculty i'm from. i am definitely more arts and social sciences than computer engineering any day. what's sde btw?
(anon1) you have to send your hardware over there for the customization, i doubt they have local retailers here in singapore, but i believe there are local companies doing the same services too. =)
(anon2) it's not quite cheap, probably about 100+ USD, and you have to send in your product in question of customizing for, well, customizing.
(anon3) you should be resting on your laurels that i am no more of a trainwreck than a sicko.
(jnkl) i hope it wasn't something of a nightmare that you had of me or perhaps anything that bordered on risque. =p
(Aaron カイジュン) so what are the uk colors? i am sure they do not involve orange. pardon my ignorance in this aspect. i've never been pro-uk.
(^_^) yup, it was on the instructions of a shifu who advised the relocation of my bed.
hahah..nah! it was quite a good dream of you..haha..Just casual chatting at some place. HAHA...I LOVE YOUR BANGKOK TRIP photos!
UK colors are a term use by designers, like Bondi blue with Persian indigo, or Turquoise, olive drab. Yes, orange included but maybe not with the blue. Well, anyway colors are for you to brighten your world, so as long as you are comfortable with it...who cares right :D
BTW, I like the room flooring, the mac corner. How big is this room to be able to fit all this stuff??
