the entry wish list

feh! my birthday's looming around the corner, and damn, i am turning 30 already. initially i was balking at the idea that my age would begin with the digit three, but what do you know, here i am embracing it with aplomb. 30's is the new 20's, and of course, by then, it's a hallmark of success in one's career, though in my case, it's much less to speak of. nevertheless, i feel almost invincible.

that aside, in the hope of trying to wheedle my friends into getting prezzies that i really hanker after, and to make things easier, i have made a list of items i would like to actually have: (crossing my fingers that some kind souls out there will fulfill some of my wish list too!)

reebok's making a comeback with their new high kicks.
anyone of them will do for me. =]

10 deep, which is available from far east, black chamber

another 10 deep apparel, i like the tongue-in-cheek in this tee

another of my favored fatyo apparel

a simple nice grey hoodie, courtesy of fatyo again.

visvim bag, a collectible, available in hong kong and taiwan

reversible beanie, purchasable online at

the entry about trotting around singapore, rome and new york

have you ever heard of the saying that goes, "to travel around the world is a life once lived"? no, you haven't, because i made that up. just a case in point. that aside, this is a culmination of the pictures i've taken over the past two weeks of quasi-globetrotting. here's the lowdown:

singapore

our founding father, sir stamford raffles

our national "mascot", the merlion

preserved work in the asian civilizations museum

i like this shot because of the haunting serenity
of the woman standing in the doorway.

raffles place by day ...

... and by night.

rome

a part of the famed colosseum

a residence in tuscany, italy

spanish steps, anyone?

new york

signs and more signs, everywhere you turn.

a typical residence in downtown manhattan.

tiles to remember those lost in 9/11.

the manhattan bridge.
